Addresses settings

First name and surname have priority over company
This setting option is only of interest to SelectLine customers. In the SelectLine you have a wide variety of options for entering address data.
Depending on how you work, it makes sense to tick it or not. If the checkmark is set, the information for the ShipXpert field „Name“ (the top address line) is taken from the SelectLine fields „First Name“ and „Name“. If it is not set, we take the data from the SelectLine field „Company“.

If no contact person, customer name as contact person
If a check mark is ticked here, our software automatically accepts the entry in the „Name“ field as the contact person. In this way, the „Contact person“ field never remains empty and you may avoid additional work when creating the shipment.

For delivery addresses, no contact persons from the customer base
This setting option is only of interest to SelectLine customers. If a check mark is ticked here, our software does not pull any contact person data from the customer base, but only from the document.

Recipient addresses changeable
Check this box to be able to change the recipient address in the shipping dialog.

Ignore missing house numbers
Check this box to deactivate the check for a house number. If the house number is missing, the warning („No house number available“) no longer appears and the address is handed over to the transport service provider as it is.

Address validation
You are free to have our in-house address validation activated or deactivated. As shown in the screenshot, this is activated by default.
You can also set that corrections should be made automatically from a certain percentage of the calculated probability. By default, this is set to 100%.
If you uncheck „Show suggestions“, the address validation does not appear as a dialog but only works in the background. However, this has the disadvantage that addresses that cannot be corrected automatically are passed on to the transport service provider as they are.
